چکیده
The pine forest of Kragilan village, Magelang, is a forested area on the west slopes Mount Merbabu with humid environmental condition. conditions make this region suitable for growth macrofungal community. inventory in Mountain very limited and inversely proportional to increasing deforestation. Thus, fundamental way managing natural conservation area. study aimed provide information potency macrofungi found Kragilan, Magelang. method used purposive sampling research area, fungi obtained were identified based characteristics some related references. This described eight species different genera, including one from Ascomycota (Xylaria sp.), seven others Basidiomycota (Auricularia auriculajudae, Lentinellus sp., Mycena Skeletocutis Gymnopilus Coprinopsis Coprinellus disseminatus). current first report diversity Further exploration still needed record western forest.

The Southern Pine Beetle and Pine Forest Ecosystems
Dendroctonus frontalis, the southern pine beetle (SPB), is a highly destructive species of bark beetle that inhabits pine forests in the southern United States and parts of Central America. @6D In natural pine forests, the ecological role of the SPB presumably is to hasten the demise of weak or damaged trees, perhaps creating kindling for fires that contribute positively to the long-term health...

متن کاملPine wilt disease – a threat to pine forest in Europe
Pine wilt disease caused by pine wood nematodes is endemic to North America. Pine wood nematodes have already spread to East Asia, including China, Taiwan and Korea in addition to Japan. The pine wood nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, was discovered in Portuguese pine forests in 1999. If it were to become established in the pine forests in Europe, it could become one of the most serious thr...
متن کاملGetting at the root of the mountain pine beetle's rapid habitat expansion and forest devastation.
The mountain pine beetle has wreaked havoc in North America, across forests from the American Southwest to British Columbia and Alberta, with the potential to spread all the way to the Atlantic coast. Millions of acres of forest have been lost, with severe economic and ecological impacts from a beetle outbreak ten times larger than previous outbreaks. Because of its importance and impact on for...
